At La Giro, we are celebrating with food, fun, and Gabi, who arrived today from Plzen, Czech Republic. Gabi, a professor at the University of West Bohemia, was here last year when we visited. We since missed (twice) the chance to see her when she was in Memphis, I guess it's the will of the gods that we meet here.
One of Dan's regrets from last year's trip was that he did not eat sardines, so we purchased some this morning at the market. They were not head- or gut-less, so he has the enviable task of beheading and de-gutting them.
Blech.
While Gabi starts in on the beer, Teresa and I are having tea. Very civilized.
